bio

Madz is a singer/songwriter from Salt Lake City, Utah. Singing before she could talk, Madz was always destined to perform. She started dancing when she was three years old, but it wasn’t her passion. When she turned nine, Madz decided that she was done dancing and wanted to sing instead. She began to take voice lessons and enrolled in the School of Rock. She quickly moved to the top bands there and went as far as she could go. At age 13 she moved over to Music Garage, but due to a change in how the program was run, she left to audition for a spot at Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse. Madz spent four years there, singing in all the premier bands including Crescent Super Band. She won Downbeat awards for all the bands she played with and was honored with a Downbeat for best solo performance. Every year Madz earned a producer’s award for outstanding performance and leadership. During her time at Soundhouse, Madz toured in California, Colorado, Spain, and Croatia.

Since graduating high school, Madz has been writing songs and playing shows when she can. Her first album, titled b&w thinking, is debuting on November 3, 2023. You can stream two of the songs from this album, MAN! and serendipity, right now wherever you stream your music.
